Crotone vs Torino by Enzo

After their surely the best performance so far in the season when they won over Chievo at home, Crotone suffered quite easy 3:0 defeat away to Inter in the previous round before the international break. Even though players of Inter scored their goals only in last ten minutes of the game, they dominated the game completely and the final result reflects fairly of what we saw on the field.

Perisic brougth the home team into the lead in 84th minute, while Icardi sealed the victory with two more goals, from penalty spot in 88th and second in third minute of additional time. The team continued to be at the rock bottom position for now, having only five points out of twelve matches, being already five points behind safely placed Empoli. With 1-1-3 record at home, they can't expect much here, but the team will surely give their best in order to stay undefeated.

Crotone should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Trotta, Falcinelli and Palladino as forwards. They continue to miss defender Claiton Dos Santos (who anyway didn't peform much this season with exception of a Cup game), with his replacement being Federico Ceccherini.

Torino broke a streak of three negative results (loss away to Inter and draws against Lazio and Udinese) with a 5:1 impressive performance against Cagliari before the international break at home. They entered the game very well and had 3:0 lead after thirty-eight minutes of the first halftime thanks to goals from Belotti, Ljajic and Benassi.

Melchiorri managed to temporaril reduce to 3:1 at the end of the first halftime, but with a goal from Baselli in 51st minute, three goals difference was re-installed. Visitors stood playing with a man less soon enough, while Belotti sealed the final result in 59th from a penalty kick. After this victory, Torino is now at seventh position with nineteen points earned, which is three less than Europa League placed Lazio meaning that the team needs victory here badly.

Visitors from Torino will be lined up in their usual 4-3-3 formation with Ljjaic, Belotti and Falque as forwards. Only doubt for the visiting side should be whether the coach will employ Davide Zappacosta or Lorenzo De Silvestri at the position of a right back. Left full back Cristian Molinaro (4/0) and defensive midfielder Giuseppe Vives (3/0) continue to be injured.

  • Crotone have failed to win 11 of their last 12 matches (Serie A).

Torino showed much more during the season and should be able to complete all three points here. Crotone is far below their level and shouldn't be able to stay so focused in the defense. Visitors can easily even get two-three goals difference victory here.
