Copenhagen vs Silkeborg by Neuro
Copenhagen is entering a local derby game after coming from a 2:1 important home win over Molde at the start of Europa League group stage. Important victory for the Danish side, that allows them to keep the hopes that they can reach the second round further on.
The have entered the game a bit more nervous than it was expected and have missed several opportunities to take the early lead, on the other side, big mistake from their goalkeeper cost them trailing 0:1 at the half-time. Second half-time saw them make the tempo much faster, being much more creative in the midfield and finally, having the full control of the match that payed them off in last twenty minutes of the game scoring the goals and maintaining the lead till the end of the time. On the other side, they are in the control in the domestic league with nine matches without a single defeat, being first at the table, but at the same time being followed by Aalborg who are only one point bellow.
Striker Mustafa Abdellaoue is injured again, while central midfielder Christian Grindheim is available again after being out for three weeks. Another central midfielder Thomas Kristiensen should be fit till the beginning of the match.
Silkeborg, on the other side, is coming from their second victory this season, but first after two months, as they have won over SonderjyskE last weekend 2:0 on the road. It was much needed victory for them, as they escaped from the bottom of the table and share now the tenth position with Bronby.
It wasn't remarkable performance from Silkeborg, as the opponent was actually the better side during the game and looked like they have control over the match, having the ball possession obviously on their side, but Silkeborg managed to get away with all three points using counter attacks as their main weapon and exploiting big mistakes from the hosts defense. Although they got both victories on the road, where they obviously play without the pressure, this time it will be a huge surprise if they walk away with something after the game. Guests should have no problems making the squad today as all their players are fit.
With Aalborg being just behind their back is logical to expect Copenhagen giving their best in order to keep the leading position. After a good start in the league and win over Molde in Europa League, everything but an easy victory for the hosts, that are clearly the best side in Denmark, would be a huge surprise.
