Copenhagen vs Nordsjaelland by Meese
Copenhagen had a very impressive previous performance in the domestic league, when the team defeated away from home last weekend Esbjerg with a 4:0 result. They entered the game very strongly and took the initiative from the first minute, opening the scoreline already in fifteenth minute. With a strong effort at the start of the second halftime, the team was able to easily clear up the game well before the end as they scored three more goals.
The team has entered the new season in the best possible manner, as they now have six points out of two rounds, showing great effectiveness in attack, scoring seven goals in these two matches. Furthermore, they come from a 1:1 draw away from home against Astra in the third qualifying round for the Champions League and they are now on a good path to secure the group stage, either of Champions League, either of Europa League in case they lose the play-off round.
Few days before the returning leg against Astra, the team might be rotated a bit, but there's no doubt that everyone wants a victory in a local derby against Nordsjaelland. Defender Augustinsson Ludwig (2/0) will not be playing in this one, as well as midfielder Kadrii Bashkim, who is sidelined with injury from the start of the season.
Nordsjaelland got completely outplayed in the previous round last weekend, when the team welcomed Midtjylland and stood defeated with heavy 4:0 result. Visitors were better from the start, but it could be said that the game was more or less equal during the first halftime, while the quality of visiting side was obvious in the repetition, as they managed to completely demolish their opponent in last thirty minutes or so.
Visiting side managed to score four goals from 68th to 88th minute, as the home team completely collapsed once they conceded the first goal. After a good performance in season opener and a victory away to Viborg, the team continues where they stopped in the previous season - with very unreliable and unstable performances.
Their coach won't be able to count at defenders Rodrigues Da Silva Ramon (2/1), Pedersen Mads (1/0) and Mtiliga Patrick (no performance till now). Midfielder Petry Lasse and forward Marcondes Emiliano are both out, without performing till now in the season.
- Copenhagen are undefeated in their last 32 home matches (Superliga).
Copenhagen has busy schedule with Champions League matches involved, however I believe they will be up to the task for this one. There's no doubt that the team is much stronger and they can easily prevail here without conceding.
