Cluj vs Basel by Sunshine
Cluj got away from the first leg with a 2:1 victory away from home and they have now a great chance to enter to Champions League group stage once again. The result was more than satisfying for the Romanians as they will have to take care now just not to lose the second leg.
Romanians started their league in a solid manner, with two wins, three draws and one loss. Although it's not an impressive start of the season, their schedule wasn't that easy as they had to play against Liberec in the previous qualifying round too, winning it 3:1 aggregate score. After important victory over Basel, Cluj had a derby game against Rapid Bucharesti on Saturday evening and lost it 3:2, although they were leading 2:0 at the half-time and had a man more since 28th minute of the game. Their defense didn't look at good, just as in any other domestic league game, while they looked far more impressive in the Champions League matches. Hosts will be without striker Ronny, offensive midfielder Ciprian Deac and defensive midfielder Adam Vass, who are all out due injuries.

Basel, on the other side, will have to perform their very best match this season, in order to reduce the deficit from the first game and manage to workout their progress somehow. The result from the first leg is terrible for them, as they have lost at home 1:2 and now only a straight win, but not narrow 0:1, leads them to Champions League or extra time.
No matter what, the situation is difficult for Swiss team and they surely will have to attack from the beginning. In comparison to previous season, they are much weaker side with several important players leaving this summer. Their results weren't that poor till now, although they struggled a bit over Molde (2:1 aggregate score) in comparison to how they played the season before. Although they had a good record in the domestic league, after they lost the first game against Cluj, they also recorded first loss in the league, losing to newly promoted St Gallen 1:2 on the road. It must be that the loss against Cluj affected their morale, but also that they were "in their heads" already in Romania.
Goals are written all over this game. Both defenses are very shaky and not fluent, while the Swiss team must attack from the start of the game and everything but three, four goals should be a surprise here.
