Clermont vs Orleans by Lucien
Clermont walked away with a point last weekend away to Bourg Peronnas as they took a 1:1 draw in the end. It was their second consecutive draw in the league, but the team also comes from a 5:0 victory in Coupe de France over amateur side FC Rhone that didn't help much, but has certainly boosted their morale in front of more important matches.
They even took the lead away to Bourg Peronnas in previous game, in 15th minute via Thiam, but looked too passive from that moment on, as the hosts were chasing the equalizer and were way more dominant, surely deserving the equalizer in 50th minute with a goal from Boussaha, while they continued trying and surely will feel much more disappointed with a point taken here only. Clermont continues being in the second part of the table, currently at thirteenth position with seven points more, as they continue to be close to a must win situation in order to continue their detachment from the red zone.
Orleans, on the other side, had quite a difficult match at their own home against Reims last weekend, but the team still managed to pull out a point in a 2:2 draw. First halftime was actually quite a boring one, while all the entertainament happend in the second part.
Visitors took the double lead in first eleven minutes of the repetition thanks to goals from Charbonier and Peuget, while the home team actully created more chances and deservedly leveled up in last twenty minutes of the game, via Aholou and Armand. With this point taken, Orelans continued beingin the red zone, leveled up with the rock bottom placed Tours, but sharing these positions with three other teams. Away from home they are just terrible with two poitns earned out of eight matches and shouldn't be hoping here for much.
Visiting side should be missing defenders Adrien Pagerie (7/0), Antar Yahia (7/0), midfielders Greg Houla (10/0) and Farid Beziouen (14/1) and forward Kevin Dupuis (1/0).
Clermont may not be in the perfect possible form, but the hosts still should be able to prevail here easier than the current odds show. I definitely see a value in this one.
