Chelsea vs Manchester City by Neuro
Chelsea continued with their domestic obligations last Saturday when they welcomed Cardiff and prevailed without much of the troubles with an easy 4:1 victory. Still, hosts entered the game better with a goal in tenth minute, but the Blues have tied the score in 33rd minute, while they found their rhythm completely in the second half with three more goals.
Their coach Jose Mourinho was sent off for continuous protests to the fourth referee while the team remained undefeated for the sixth consecutive match having four fourth consecutive victory in Premier League. Team is looking good after a slippery start, after yesterday's matches they are only fifth at the table, but with a game less played they could get the second position in case of a victory tonight and have only two points less than leading Arsenal. As said, they didn't start impressive this season, but are lately playing better and more importantly, scoring more goals. They also won over Schalke 3:0 on the road in third round of Champions League few days ago, as the team overcame the difficult position having brought into after a defeat at home against Basel. Atmosphere in the team is at a very good level.
Their main left back Ashley Cole (10/0) is expected to return to the starting lineup, while Mourinho has a doubt whether Torres of Eto'o to start at the top of attack. Long term absentee remain midfielder van Ginkel (4/0)
Manchester City also returned from a two weeks international break with a victory in Premier League, as they won against West Ham with the score of 3:1 last Saturday. With two goals from Sergio Aguero, in 16th and 51st minute, City took the strong lead, while West Ham reduced the score seven minutes later. However, hosts didn't panic and sealed the victory with a goal ten minutes before the full time whistle scored by David Silva.
It was a fairly convincing performance from Manchester City, as the team remained with maximum record at home counting all four victories. They moved up to fourth position, but after yesterday's game Citizens are sixth with six points less than firstly placed Arsenal. They are also coming from important victory earned in Champions League, as the team won CSKA Moscow 2:1 away from home despite being down in 32nd minute. Victory is a great step towards securing the next phase ticket and surely have boost their morale even more. Important defender and team captain Kompany (4/0) is still sidelined, while defender Demichelis is close to return, but still unfit to play such a highly competitive match.
Important game is ahead probably two strongest candidates for the title and having in mind atmosphere in their locker rooms, offensive approach both sides have in recent matches and their scoring with ease, both teams to score seems like the most logical choice. Hosts remain also at least slight favorite to get the three pointer.
