Chelsea vs Bournemouth by Luke
Chelsea comes from eleventh consecutive victory last weekend in Premier League, as the team managed to get a narrow one away to Crystal Palace with a 1:0 result. Only goal was scored towards the end of the first halftime via Diego Costa, as the visiting side looked better and more threatening during the match overall.
Players of Crystal Palace did have a bit more of the ball possession, but didn't manage to create many dangerous situations, while players of Chelsea looked like more mature on the field and simply knew what they wanted out of the game. With this three pointer, Chelsea continued leading the table with six points more than second placed Liverpool and having already ten more than teams which are out of Champions League positions.
Chelsea is set to play in 3-4-3 formation, most likely with Hazard and Willian on the wings, plus Batshuayi as central striker. Central defender John Terry (5/0) remains injured, while suspended for this match are defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante (17/1) and striker Diego Costa (17/13). Offensive midfielder Oscar is somehow short of fitness, similar to Eden Hazard who probably won't play for whole ninety minutes.
Bournemouth, on the other side, suffered 1:3 defeat in front of own fans against Southampton last weekend, even though the things didn't look that dark early in the match. Home team managed to take the lead via central defender Ake in sixth minute, but couldn't keep the lead for too long, as the Saints scored equalizer in fourteenth via Bertrand.
Vistiors were better in the second halftime and sealed the victory with two goals from Rodriguez, while overall impression is that the players of Bournemouth maybe deserved to score once more, however three pointer for Southampton was more than fair outcome. Despite this defeat, Bournemouth remained in the middle of the table for now, having twenty-one point earned, which is seven more than relegating placed Sunderland.
Visitors from Bournemouth are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation with Afobe as their central striker, but also with Ibe, King and Pugh as offensive midfielders. Midfielders Lewis Cook (1/0) and Andrew Surman (9/0) are injured, while offensive midfielder/forward Junior Stanislas (9/3) remains doubtful. Central defender Nathan Ake (8/3) can't play in this one due his loan agreement terms.
- Bournemouth have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 away matches (Premier League).
Chelsea actually made a club record with eleven straight victories and the team is hungry to keep up the momentum. Bournemouth is far away from a stable side, having only one of eight matches on the road this season and I don't expect from them to show much here. Blues should be able to record the victory without getting into problems in last phase of the match.
