Tottenham vs Leverkusen

Tottenham is in obvious crisis now, since the team didn't manage to get a victory in last five matches in all competitions and the team doesn't inspire with a lot of confidence. A victory here would mean a lot for them, especially having in mind improvement of their atmosphere in the locker room.

In the previous Champions League match, they took a point away from home against Bayer Leverkusen in but interesting game, where their hosts looked better and more lively on the field, but the Spurs were engaged with slow build-up play. After this point taken, Tottenham had four points earned, which puts them at second position, a point less than Monaco and a point more than Leverkusen - so a victory here would be a huge push for the Spurs. As for Premier League, team comes from a 1:1 draw at home against Leicester and they are currently on a streak of three draws which put them at fifth position, three points below first placed sides (5-5-0 recors fo far, remaining only undefeated team in Premiership).

Spurs are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation with Janssen as striker. Defender Toby Alderweireld (8/0) is out, as well as offensive midfielder Erik Lamela (9/1) and striker Harry Kane (5/2) who remains unfit.

Leverkusen, on the other side, broke a streak of four negative results in all competitions, since the team comes from a 2:1 victory away from home against Wolfsburg last weekend. It was far away from an easy game and the team was down since 37th minute, but managed to respond later on and deservedly took the victory thanks to goals from Mehmedi and Jedvaj, both being scored in last twelve minutes of the match.

After this victory, they broke a streak of two defeats in Bundesliga and the team climbed up to tenth position, which is far below their expectations, since the team currently resides five point below Champions League placed Hertha. As for Champions League, they have three draws out of three matches and even though the team would remain with similar chances in case of draw here, they can't afford to lose this one as it would probably mean that their chances of reaching the knockout stage are close to zero.

Leverkusen is set to continue playing in 4-4-2 formation with Kiessling and Chicharito as forwards. Central defenders Jonathan Tah (8/0) and Omer Toprak (7/0) are doubtful for this match and might cause a huge headache to their coach. Visitors are missing surely right back Lars Bender (5/0), midfielder Karim Bellarabi (2/0) and forward Joel Pohjanpalo (4/4).

I expect completely different game from what we saw in previous time. Tottenham will surely try to attack here and get the points here and I see their chances simply being way bigger than 50%. They might not win, but the odds are worth a shot in my eyes.
