Dynamo Kiev vs Besiktas

Even though they stood without further mathematical chances to reach even the third position, Dynamo Kiev managed to impress a little and walk away with a very positive result in previous Champions League game when the team hold to a goalless draw Italian side Napoli on the road. Needless to be said, players of Napoli had much more chances created, but without jeopardizing opponents goal enough.

On the other side, Ukrainians held the ball a bit more than the opponent and that was probably the reason why they managed to keep a clean sheet. Still, it was only their second point taken so far in the group stage and with Besiktas being third with seven, it's obvious that the Ukrainians have nothing to hope for regarding their Europa League exit. As for the domestic league, they come from a 2:2 draw away from home against Vroskla, making another setback, since they are already now ten points behind leaders from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Home team will be playing in 4-1-4-1 formation with Moraes as central striker, plus Gonzalez, Garmash, Sydorchuk and Yarmolenko as offensive midfielders. Right back and sometimes central defender Danilo Silva (5/0) is ruled out due knee injury and won't be playing in next six months, while they also continue to miss goalkeeper Georgi Bushchan who didn't play this season at all, plus defensive midfielder Valeriy Fedorchuk (6/1).

Besiktas also took a point in the previous game played in Champions League, as the team managed to drew at home 3:3 against Portuguese side Benfica, even though they were 3:0 down already after thirty minutes of play. Actually, they didn't look that bad in the first half either, but the team overall was better during the ninety minutes, however only managing to exploit chances in the second halftime.

They reduced the deficit in 58th minute with a goal from Tosun and continued attacking, being rewarded for their fighting spirit in last ten minutes of the game, when goals from Quaresma (from the penalty kick) and Aboubakar in 89th minute brought a point to the home side. As said, the team now has seven points, a point less than Benfica and Napoli and in case of a victory here, they would be sure participation of the Champions League knockout stage.

Visitors from Turkey should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Aboubakar as their number nine, plus Quaresma, Arslan and Adriano as offensive midfielders. Necip Uysal and Kerim Frei have both returned after long spells, while the team continue to misses defensive midfielder Veli Kavlak and midfielder Aras Ozbiliz, who anyway didn't perform so far in the Champions Leauge. Injured are also forward Anderson Talisca (6/4) and left full back Caner Erkin (6/0). Central defender Rhodolfo is having some injury problems but might be playing here.

  • Dynamo Kyiv have failed to win their last 7 matches (UEFA Champions League).

Competitive motive should be playing really important rule in this match and I'm going with it. Dynamo has nothing to play for actually, while Besiktas still can reach the knockout stage of the CHampions League. Not only that, visiting side have showed much more so far in the Champions League and the odds are well worth the risk this time.
