Besiktas vs Dynamo Kiev by Isaiah
Besiktas pulled out a point in a bit unexpected way last Saturday evening, as the team was losing at home against Galatasaray 2:0 already after the first halftime with goals from Derdiyok and Bruma. However, hosts have improved in the second halftime and managed to get a point with two goals scored within five minutes, in 73rd via Marcelo and five minutes later via Tosun.
After five rounds played in Turkish Super Lig, Besiktas is at third position together with Galatasaray, being just two points below leaders from Basaksehir and a point below second placed Fenerbahce, still undefeated with three victories and two draws. As for the Champions League group stage, the team took a point in the first round against Benfica away from home and now have every reason to feel like real candidates for the position number two in the group, especially in case they get a victory over Ukrainian champions.
Home side should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation, most likely with Tosun as their central striker and with Quaresma, Ozyakup and Talisca as offensive midfielders for this game. Vicent Aboubakar and Talisca came off the bench and helped the team a lot to get a point against Galatasaray, so they are pushing for start here for sure. Defensive midfielder Veli Kavlak and right offensive midfielder Aras Ozbiliz (1/0) are both sidelined with injuries.
Dynamo Kiev, on the other side, finally managed to get a victory after four consecutive matches which could be described as negative results, a draw and three defeats, as they managed to overpower Olimpik Donetsk 4:0 away from home last weekend. They looked perfectly well this time out, against obviously class lower side, as the team snapped three pointer with goals from Tsygankov, Moraes, Gonzalez and Fedorchuk with two goals in each halftime.
With two defeats and one draw in Ukrainian league, they are already somehow away from the title race, as the team has six points less than leaders and biggest rivals from Shakhtar Donetsk. As for the Champions League, team lost to Napoli 1:2 at home in the first round, even though they took the lead in 26th minute with a goal from Garmash. Italians were very concrete in their attacks and needed just ten minutes to revert the scoreline with two goals from Milik.
Visitors from Ukraine should be lined up in 4-1-4-1 formation with Moraes as their number nine and with four players who should act as offensive midfielders, Yarmolenko, Buyalskiy, Gonzalez and Garmash most likely. Central defender Danilo Silva (3/0) is still injured and remains out, while central midfielder Serhiy Sydorchuk (7/0) was sent off in a game against Napoli and is suspended now for this trip. Other than that, their coach Sehiy Rebrov has no further injury or suspension worries for this match.
- There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Besiktas's last 3 games (UEFA Champions League).
Besiktas is coming from a difficult game over the weekend, but the team does have good strength in depth to freshen the things up if needed. Dynamo is in a really poor form at the moment for a club of their reputation and I don't see them walking away with something here. Easy or hard, players of Besiktas should prevail and record a three pointer here.
