Man City vs Tottenham (By: Luke)
Manchester City had more of the ball possession but wasn't as concrete as usually in a 1:0 loss away to Tottenham in the first leg. Still, they could have easily earned better result missing even a penalty kick early in the game. They also continue the title battle in Premiership with Liverpool, having nine consecutive victories now.
Tottenham can be pretty satisfied with a narrow victory in the first round, especially since they didn't concede the goal despite the possession of the Citizens.
As for the Premier league, the Spurs come from a 4:0 win over Huddersfield and have kept the third position for now. However, they are in danger of slipping down to the sixth position having just three points more than sixth Manchester United.
The Citizens has midfielder Fernandinho (27/1) doubtful for now, while left-back Zinchenko could be ready to start.
The Spurs miss right back Aurier (8/0), defensive midfielder Dier (16/2), offensive Lamela (18/4) and striker Kane (28/17). Participation of defensive midfielder Winks (26/1), offensive Alli (20/5) and forward Llorente (16/1) is doubtful.
- Man City have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 8 home matches against Tottenham.
Manchester City has a one-goal deficit from the first leg which could have turned differently and I have no doubts that the Citizens will come out attacking here.
The Spurs have the quality to make the things bit more difficult for the hosts here, however, the Citizens alone are capable of scoring more than a couple of goals. Value bet in this case.
