Manchester Utd vs Juventus (By: Stanioooo)

Manchester United host Juventus in the 3rd round of CL at Old Trafford.

After two rounds, Juve are the leaders in the group with max points, while United are second with 4 points. The situation in Manchester United is confusing for sure and I think Mourinho's time in the club is almost over. They made a good match against Chelsea during the weekend, but still couldn't win after the draw 2:2 with a late equalizer for the hosts.

The main reason I am going with the guests here is because I really don't trust in the home players and maybe they also don't trust a lot in Mourinho. In the last CL game against Valencia at Old Trafford they didn't convince they deserve the win and only took a goalless draw. Against Newcastle they made so many silly mistakes at home and 0:2 at half-time was even smaller than what they deserved as a result, because Newcastle could even lead with 0:3. In United we have so many players who will miss the game: Sanchez, Fellaini, Lingard, McTominay, Jones, Rojo and Dalot are all out, while Rashford and Valencia are doubtful

Juventus on the other side have almost the perfect season so far- two wins with clean sheets in CL, first place in the group and also in Italian Serie A. During the weekend they missed the first points for the season after the draw 1:1 against Genoa, but still they have 25 points in 9 games, almost perfect stats. The most important about the team is that Ronaldo is eligible to play at Old Trafford after 1 game suspension he had. Mandzukic is out for this game, so Bernardeschi is expected to start in the attack, together with Costa, Ronaldo and Dybala. Can, Khedira and Spinazzola will also miss this match, but still they have enough quality in midfield with Pjanic and Matuidi to produce a lot of chances for the forwards. My main worry before the start of the game is Juve performance in defense. OK, they have perfect stats as guests- 5 matches/5 wins, but in some of the games they made really poor mistakes. Szczesny for me is one of their main weaknesses, although I realize it's hard to replace Buffon on the sheet. I hope the Polish player to make a good match tomorrow, because he will also have a lot of work. Bonucci is not on max level and their partnership with Chiellini doesn't look to be on the same level as it was before Bonucci's move to Milan and return in Torino during the summer. Really hope to see Benatia and Chiellini as center backs tomorrow, but the chances are small.

To sum up, Juve have the perfect season right now, United are mixing good performances with very poor ones, so we can not predict what we will see tomorrow for sure, but still the class of Juve players, led by very motivated Ronaldo, together with the unexperienced and not in form bench United will have because of the injuries(players there will not have much time during the season), give me the confidence to play straight for Juve in this game. For me Mou will not have plan B for this match if his best 11 don't perform well and are losing. Their starting line-up is absolutely predictable, because of the missing players.

I know some of you will not agree with me, because Mourinho's teams look different when it's time for CL games, but just remember one thing- Real Madrid-Juventus in the 2nd leg! When they want to show their best and are highly motivated, we all saw what they can produce even against the european champions as guests. Tomorrow with Ronaldo in the squad, I am almost sure he will find the way to score at Old Trafford. Say it fortune, but will try it as another pick.

Good luck!

Under 1.5 goals? Don't think it's a clever pick, mate :)

Everyone has his own point of view for the match. I shared mine. When Ronaldo plays at Old Trafford, he is on the winning side. Once he did it being part of United, second time with Real in CL and maybe there will be a third time with Juve.
