Cesena vs Napoli by Enzo
Cesena completed fifteenth game without a victory, but still a draw in a 1:1 game away to Sassuolo they obtained was a success for them. Especially to the fact that they managed to equalize in fourth minute of additional time with a goal from Ze Eduardo.
Previously, the team stood behind from a strict penalty kick in 76th minute taken by Zaza, but it has to be said that the players of Sassuolo were much more active on the field, creating many chances and have actually deserved all three points. Coach has said that the team worked well during the break and that they have now great motivation to get something against Napoli, adding that they can't afford to defend themselves during the match and must win a way to make proper responses in attack. Midfielder Gregoire Defrel (13/4) will not be available, following suspension. Absent are also midfielder Andrea Tabanelli (3/0), forward Guido Marilungo (8/1) and left back Francesco Renzetti (11/0). Striker Djuric is back, so the coach has plenty of players upfront this time, but none of them have been up to the task till now.
Napoli won the Super Cup finale held in Doha, Qatar, in quite dramatic fashion against Juventus. They were twice behind in the scoreline, but replied both teams via Higuain in 68th and 118th to make the game go to penalty shot outs where the players of Napoli were more lucky.
The team started improving heavily during the transfer period, as they already signed left back Strinic from Dnepr, but also one of the better Serie A players this Autumn, striker Gabidianni (13 matches, 7 goals in Sampdoria till now this season). However, ex-Sampdoria's striker is suspended for this game and won't be counted. Their next target in the transfer window is Mario Suarez from Atletico, as the club's management clearly shows that their target is Champions League ticket this season. Back/midfielder Zuniga (6/0) remains injured, while left back Faouzi Ghoulam (16/0) won't be available for whole January due to African Cup of Nations. Forward Michu (3/0) and winger Lorenzo Insigne (11/1) are also unavailable tonight.
Napoli shouldn't have many problems defeating Cesena here, even though they are known for their setbacks against teams that aren't at the first part of the table. Apart from an away victory, we should see plenty of goals, most in Cesena's net as solely Napoli is able to score three goals here.
