Cagliari vs Virtus by Enzo
Cagliari is again close the top of the Serie B after the win over Avellino (1:2) and they want to pass Crotone who won yesterday away to Bari (2:3). Although they started the game away to Avellino bad and received a goal to the first ten minutes, they managed to equalize fast with Gianni Munari and take the win ten minutes before full time with a goal from striker Alberto Cerri.
Now they need to be cautious against Virtus, where a full stadium is expected. Midfielder Gianni Munari (10 games, 2 goals) is suspended, while leading attacking midfielder Davide Di Gennaro (20 games, 3 goals) will miss the game too due to injury. Central midfielder and captain of Cagliari, Daniele Dessena Ntesena (15 games) is surely out, while centre back Marco Capuano (8 games) is long term injured.
Virtus Entella is traditionally strong at home. They prevailed 1:0 over Novara with a goal from winger Gaetano Masucci. They played more on counter and only in the first half they threatened Novara. Their job was easier to the second half as Novara played with ten men from 57th minute.
Virtus may not losing their optimism, but things away from home are different. A game against a top table team like Cagliari who are powerful at home, surely can be described one of the most diffucult games for them. Main right back Francesco Belli (16 games) and left back Simone sini (5 games) will both miss the game due to injuries.
Expected low odds for Cagliari. However, they are ultimately a tough team, difficult for any opponent. I do not think that Virtus Entella has the quality to be competitive there.
