Burton vs Rotherham by Shibby

Another Championship game for me and it's my club Rotherham united travelling to the Pirelli Stadium, Burton-Upon-Trent. The game will kick off at 15:00 and will see Burton host bottom club Rotherham United.

The hosts head into this game knowing that they have started better than Rotherham, they will be fully aware of what is going on at the New York Stadium and I'm sure they will be expecting a victory against a club that hasn't won a league game since their 1-0 victory over Brentford back on the 20th August 2016.

Burton currently lie just above the relegation zone on 19 points, that's 12 points more than their opponents for the game. Burton head into this clash in quite inconsistent form. Their last five league games has seen them win once vs Birmingham City (2-0), then they have lost two (Leeds & Reading) and draw two (Barnsley & Preston). Burton don't score many goals, however, they looks quite strong at the back. I think this will be a tight game, however, I think that Rotherham have a chance.

The visitors for the game are bottom club Rotherham United, they head into the game on just 7 points from 18 games?! The worst record throughout the football league I believe. However, there has been some changes at Rotherham since last weekends defeat to Leeds (on Sky). After the game manager Kenny Jackett resigned from the club. I'm not 100% sure why, I think only the club owners and Jackett do. He was in charge for just 38 days and managed just 5 games!

It has been agreed that Paul Warne, Rotherham Fitness coach will take charge of the team until a new manager has been recruited. Warne was a player at Rotherham not so long ago, since retiring he's been a fitness coach at Rotherham. He is a very well liked person at the club and has a great reputation with the players/fans and everyone associated with the club.

After speaking with some of the players this week and reading their thoughts on his interim appointment, I believe that Warne will have his players fully up for the game vs Burton. I expect 110% from every single player and I honest think that we are due a result, Burton are a good team to go up against at this stage of the season. Not disrespect to Burton but these are games that we can et a result against.

I think that odds of 2.17 for Rotherham + 0.5 AH is a great price and offers a profit even if Rotherham only manage a draw. Therefore, I'll be backing this! Good luck all.
