Bristol City vs Nottingham by Shibby

Championship action for me again today, 2 games catch my eye, this is one of them. The game will be played at Ashton Gate and will kick off at 15:00. Quite an usual bet for me, however, I've been watching this guy for a while now and think it's worth the punt.

The home side head into the game in fine form, Bristol City have started the season quite well, they head into the game vs Forest today on the back of 3 straight victories. They have managed to move up the table and currently sit in the last play off place (6th). They find themselves just 5 points from top of the tables, so I expect them to head into the game seeking a victory.

Since manager Lee Johnson took charge he seems to have changed the way in which they play. He did a good job last season and cemented a spot in the Championship, this year he seems to have built on that and Bristol City for me have a chance of a play off spot.

One of the main reasons for their success this season is their loan striker Tammy Abraham. Johnson managed to lure him to Ashton gate from Chelsea. This to me looks like it could be one of the purchases of the season! His form since joining the club has been insane! He is just 18 years old and looks to have a very bright future! If I was Chelsea manager I would be keen to bring him and Izzy Brown back to the club (Izzy Brown from Rotherham).

Abraham is quite a tall striker and seems to have a bit of everything, especially goals in his locker!! He's played 10 games for City this season and has scored 7 goals?! He is the leagues top scorer (joint with Hogan and Gayle). His goals this season have come in a variety of ways, he looks like he is going to score in every game for me. He's scored this season against some solid defences, teams like, Wednesday, Fulham, Rotherham and Villa.

He didn't score in their last game, for this season I don't think he will be wanting to go two games without a goal, with them having home advantage and with Tammy up against a leaky Forest defence I think he will score at least once today. Therefore, I'll be backing Tammy Abraham - Anytime scorer @ 2.10 with Bet365. Good luck all.

Bet: Tammy Abraham anytime goalscorer @ 2.10 with Bet365
Result: Scored at 65' (won)

You lost me at “Solid defense – Villa”.

  2. Shibby says:

They’ve only conceded 10 goals in 10 games Joey :) I didn’t mean solid in terms of not conceding, I meant good defenders
