Brescia vs Pro Vercelli by Enzo
Brescia didn't open the new season in the best possible way, since they have suffered defeat away to Avellino 2:1, but then slowly improved taking a draw in a goalless game against Palermo and impressing even further, getting all three points on the road against Parma last weekend.
Only goal was scored back in 60th minute via Ferrante, while it needs to be said that the match was quite an equal one from both sides, with neither of them actually impressing a lot, while the hosts stood playing with a man less since 73rd minute when Scavone got red carded, while they had no chance to jeopardize guests' goal later on, having to play with a man less. Brescia is now in the middle of the table and surely looking to impress even further now on.
Central defender Mauro Coppolaro (2/0) remains injured for this one.
Pro Vercelli, on the other side, is nowhere close anything close to a decent momentum right now, as the team comes from three straight defeats in Serie B and knowing that they escaped relegation battle in last weeks of previous season, it's obvious that they will be having hard time staying competitive this season as well.
They opened the season with easy defeats against Frosinone and Ascoli without a single goal scored, while they suffered quite heavy defeat last weekend as well, when the side welcomed Cremonse and stood defeated 1:4, without plenty of chances to get a positive outcome. Their visitors presented themselves as way more stronger and more concrete side, taking the double lead via Pesce and Brightenti in the first halftime, while Cavion scored third in 81st, with hosts replying via penalty kick taken from Firenze, but that was it - guests scored once again, via Mokulu in 90th minute. The side remains only one without a point earned so far and the only one that has only one goal scored so far.
Obviously Pro Vercelli will be having hard time staying competitive in the relegation battle for the whole season, while Brescia seems to be getting into the right form and having that in mind, everything except home victory will be a surprise here. I simply can't see Pro Vercelli replying in attack here and the chances for home victory are way above 50% in my eyes.
