Bologna vs Napoli by Enzo
Although they weren't given many chances before the game, Bologna managed to pull out a point in a goalless draw at home against Lazio last weekend. Not only that, but the hosts deserved much more during the game, as they created more chances and could feel disappointment that they didn't take all three points.
The things doesn't look that bright for Bologna as they are currently ranked at eighteenth position that leads to Serie B, but with only a point difference to safely placed Sassuolo. Most of the points they have accumulated have been earned at their stadium (eleven in comparison to only five on the road) and there is no doubt that the home ground is something on what they'll rely on in next months. Coach Ballardini seems to have chosen his favorite tactics with three man in defense only and Natali in the heart of it. Midfielder Diamanti has recovered and will start as offensive midfielder, while the only absentee in the team will be Cech (left defender, 7/0), who is already out for couple of months.
Napoli is coming from a 3:1 victory over Atalanta at home in Cup competition few days ago, even though the visitors opened the scoreline in fifteenth minute. Soon enough Napoli responded with a goal from Callejon, while the hosts added two more in the second halftime (another one scored by Callejon while Insigne was the scorer of the second goal), for safe ending of the game.
Previously to that game, they earned a 3:0 victory on the road against Verona last weekend as a part of the previous round of Seria A. The game was expected to be much tighter, but the hosts didn't show their real face while the players of Napoli took completely professional victory without getting into many defensive problems. It was their second victory in a run, as the team continues to be at third position with two points less than second placed Roma. One of their best players Hamsik is available, but is expected to start from the bench which should leave space for Pandev at the first minute. Midfielder Behrami (14/0), left back Zuniga (4/0) and goalkeeper Reina (15/0) continue to be sidelined with injuries.
Bologna is close to a must win situation and as such, surely knows that they can't only defend here and will have to attempt to score too. Open game is expected as Bologna knows their biggest chance comes from home matches, while Napoli anyways comes attacking oriented into this game and in a need of all three points.
