Bologna vs Inter by Enzo
After a decent start with four points earned out of first two rounds, as they took a point in a home game against Torino but also won on the road to Benevento, players of Bologna couldn't answer properly in next two rounds after the international break, but needs to be said that their opponents were way stronger than first two rounds.
They lost at home to in-form Napoli easily with a 0:3 result, while the side suffered 2:1 defeat away to Fiorentina last weekend in a deserved way must be said. Hosts were better in the first halftime too, but the scoreline didn't change, while they took the lead in 51st minute via Chiesa, but the guests leveled in next minute via Palacio, however couldn't stay well in the defense for the long and the winning goal came via Pezzella in 69th minute. Bologna now stands in the middle of the table with four points, three more than relegating worried sides.
Forward Cesar Falletti is injured from the start of the season with ankle problem, same as forward Cheick Keita who got signed from Birmingham recently on a loan deal. Defender Domenico Maietta (3/0) is doubtful for this one, same as full back Vassilios Torosidis (2/0) who comes off from injury.
Although it's still early to talk about that, Inter is having really good start into the season and they looked really well on the field for now - surely with a boosted morale they believe that Champions League position this season is realistic target at least. The side has played really well during the preparation period and just continued in the official start of the season having now four victories out of first four rounds.
However, must be said that they had pretty difficult schedule at the start, as the side won over Fiorentina at home and Roma on the road, but then had two easier matches - winning at home over Spal and in the most recent match, on the road against Crotone on Saturday afternoon with a 0:2 result. It was far away from an easy match, but the visitors had much more of the ball possession and even though the hosts had their chances as well, they were more decisive towards the end, sealing the victory with goals from Skriniar in 82nd and Perisic in second minute of additional time. They share teh first position with a 4-0-0 record together with Napoli and Juventus for now, surely wanting to keep up their momentum.
Defender Joao Cancelo (1/0) should be only injury absentee for the visiting side.
- Inter have won 10 of their last 12 away matches against Bologna.
Inter have shown so much more in the new season and I can't see past their victory here. Bologna has some quality, but far away from the standards of Inter. Guests are doing well and should exploit these weeks as much as possible especially since they are well rested not playing in Europe this season.
