Bologna vs Fiorentina by Enzo
After three matches where they looked actually better than during the most of the season, Atalanta disappointed last Wednesday evening when the team suffered narrow 1:0 defeat away from home against Frosinone.
They had most of the time ball possession, but weren't able to do anything concrete with it, however once they stood playing with a man less in 64th minute when their defender got sent off, the things started to be much more difficult for them. Hosts were more aggressive and finally scored the goal from the penalty kick in 77th minute, while the guests neither had energy nor determination to make any kind of respond. Bologna continues to be in the middle of the table, having solid ten points more than sides in relegation battle. Home side should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Destro as striker and Rizzo and Giaccherini on the wings. Central midfielder Godfred Donsah (11/2) is injured, while suspended for this game right full back Alex Ferrari (16/0) and central defender Marios Oikonomou (15/0). No doubt that coach Roberto Donadoni will need to rotate in defense.
After some less quality performances in important matches when the team suffered defeats against Lazio, Milan and Juventus, Viola got back to winning ways with a narrow 2:1 victory over Carpi on Wednesday night. Three pointer that was fought in a bit tougher battle than what they expected it to be.
Fiorentina took the lead already in second minute via Valero and everyone awaited for their second goal, but it never came. Instead of it, visitors managed to level up the result in 73rd minute via Lasagna and make the things much more interesting out of really rare number of chances. From that moment on, Viola once again looked way more aggressive and controled everything, finally being rewarded with the three pointer in third minute of additional time when Zarate scored the winning goal. After the victory, they remained at the third position, having just a point more than fourth placed Inter. Viola will continue in their usual 3-4-2-1 formation with Kalinic as number nine and Ilicic and Zarate as his support behind him. Mauro Zarate probably secured his position in starting lineup for this game, since he scored the winning goal last time out. Midfielder Milan Badelj (16/1) is injured, same as defender Yohan Benalouane.
With the home side missing important defenders for this game, but also Viola getting back on track, I can't see anything but an away victory here. They have much more quality when looking at the players individually and should confirm it here, easier than the odds suggest.
