Blackburn vs Sheffield Wednesday by Shibby
Championship action for me again on an action packed Tuesday night. The game I've selected first is the game that will be played at Ewood Park, Blackburn. The game will kick off at 19/;45 UK time.
The hosts head into this game in good form considering their start to the season. They head into this one on the back of 2 straight league wins, this has seen Blackburn sneak up the table to 20th on 8 points. They beat Rotherham 4-2 here on the 17th September and looked deadly on the attack. They see to have found their form and seem to be back on track after the sale of their best players (Duffy and Hanley) this is just my opinion though. What stands out to me is that in Blackburn's first 9 games has seen BTTS in 7 of them. They have a good ratio of goals for and against.
Their last game was a massive 2-1 victory over Derby County! I know Derby haven't started the season too well, however, a win away at Derby is good for any side in this league. They were lucky in a way as they actually trailed early in the 2nd half as Vydra opened the scoring. This seemed to spur Blackburn on as they then quickly got level as Emnes struck 1 minute later! A goal 3 minutes later from Graham put Blackburn in front and they held on for a massive 3 points. This win will have given them a huge boost.
The visitors for the game are Sheffield Wednesday. They haven't started the season too well considering they were nearly promoted through the play offs last season. They've added some quality players to their squad also. They are currently 11th in the league, just 6 points away from top of the table. Wednesday got back to winning ways after their defeat against Birmingham. They beat Forest 2-1 with almost the last kick of the game! They were behind by a Lansbury goal, however, 2 late goals from Lee secured a Wednesday win and got Carvahal a huge 3 points.
6 out of their 9 league games has also seen BTTS which is unusual for the Owls as they have been quite strong in defence lately. Lees went off against Forest too and I believe he will be unavailable for the game due to injury. He will be a big loss for Wednesday at the back.
I do expect their to be goals here, with both teams back to winning ways and looking for 3 points. I also see 2 sloppy defences and expect both teams to score, therefore, I'll be backing BTTS at a price of 1.74 with 10Bet. Good luck all.
