Betis vs Alaves by Jimeno
Betis suffered quite difficult defeat last time out, as the team welcomed Valencia on Sunday evening and suffered 3:6 loss, in overall very interesting match where the visitors had great efficiency in attack - but otherwise it could have ended very differently on some other day. Guests entered better into the game and took the double lead in last ten minutes of the first halftime thanks to goals from Kondogbia and Guedes.
Players of Betis were better in the second halftime, missed a penalty kick early into the repetition and then conceded twice more - via Rodrigo in 64th and Mina in 74th minute. They had a great phase from 79th to 84th minute when they scored all three goals (Campbell, Sanabria and Tello) and just when everyone thought that complete revert of the scoreline may come - Valencia struck them with two more goals, in 88th minute via Zaza and sealed the victory in third minute of additional time via Pereira.
Betis is now at ninth position having just a point less than Europa League placed Leganes and just three less than Champions League placed Atletico Madrid surely aiming a three pointer here and wanting to get back to the upper part of the table as soon as possible.
Hosts should be set playing in a form of 4-3-3 formation with Joaquin, Sanabria and Leon as forwards. Left back Riza Durmisi (7/0) won't be playing here due muscleproblem. Midfielder Javi Garcia (7/0) remains sidelined injured too.
Alaves, on the other side, comes from yet another defeat last weekend, this time in front of own fans against Real Sociedad with a 0:2 result. They got a victory away from home two weeks earlier against Levante, but it seems that the team will need a lot more experience and struggle in order to be more competitive this season in LaLiga and to climb up the table away from the relegation zone.
Players of Sociedad were simply way, way stronger and better on the field last Saturday evening, as it looked like the teams are couple of levels of difference. Even though the visiting side completely dominated the field and were better, they took the lead only once they upped the tempo in last fifteen minutes of the game, thanks to goals from Oyarzabal and Elustondo in 77th and 81st minute. They continue to be second from the bottom with three pointer, three less than safely placed Girona.
Guests will be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Haddadi as central striker, plus Katai, Medran and Pedraza as offensive midfielders most likely. They will most likely miss offensive midfielder Ibai Gomez (8/0) due knee problem. Injured are also central defender Victor Laguardia and left back Hector Hernandez (1/0).
- Alaves have lost 7 of their last 8 matches (La Liga).
Betis has conceded ten goals in last two matches and managed to take just a point, but I believe that this one is going to be way more easier in defense for them. There's much more quality in the home side this season and I believe that they will be able to record a victory even easier than what the odds suggest.
