Benfica vs Anderlecht by Isaiah
Benfica hosted Pacos Ferreira the last Saturday night where they won with the score of 3:1 despite their absences. They made their first comfortable victory in this season's championship, and they are now with seven points in four games but already five points behind Porto.
Now Benfica starts their effort for the Champions League and it is very important for them to start with a victory. Coach of Benfica had only good things to say for Anderlecht, and stated that they have some excellent players like Mitrovic and Suarez.
Right winger Eduardo Salvio, left back Bruno Cortez and midfielder Ruben Amorim are still out injured, while winger Miralem Sulejmani came injured from the match of Serbia and will not play. Left winger Nicolas Gaitan and right back Silvio are not ready and not included to Benfica squad.
Anderlecht had a very comfortable win against Mechelen in the weekend where they won easily with the score of 5:0. Striker Mitrovic who has been acquired this season from Partizan for 5 millions, made his debut in the starting lineup and left excellent impressions as he scored twice.
Thus, Anderlecht remained six points behind leaders Standard Liege and so far they have the best attack in their league with 26 goals in seven matches. They are more mature compared to last season and their players appeared all very optimistic for the game against Benfica and seems like they believe to a good result tonight. There are no significant problems with absences for Anderlecht.
Anderlecht will appear with an attacking formation with Suarez and Mitrovic in front, and they are capable to make damage to Benfica. I think that both teams will score tonight.
