Atletico PR vs Coritiba by Neuro
After four victories in a row with only one conceded goal, Atletico PR suffered 2:1 defeat away to Gremio last weekend. However, it has to be said that the team didn't get outplayed in that match, but only deservedly loss since the hosts were more active side. Home team took the lead in 33rd minute via Giuliano, while both sides scored a goal each in the repetition.
Guests equalized in 52nd minute with a goal from Hernani, while the players of Gremio re-installed their lead in 71st via Rhodolfo. During the whole match Gremio was a bit more active on the field and had more of the ball possession, thus the victory came rightly for them. After this loss, Atletico PR lost their first position and now are third at the table with three points less than Sport Recife, but with a target in mind to bounce back here with a victory and remain at the very top of the table. Their first choice left back Natanael returns from a ban, while the team continues to miss offensive left midfielder Nikao (7/3) due to suspension. Youngsters Leo Pereira defender and Marcos Guilherme midfielder are with Brazilian under 20 squad, while defensive midfielder Deivid (2/0) remains injured.
Coritiba, on the other side, comes into this game after fourth consecutive defeat, as the team comes from a 0:1 loss at home against Flamengo. At the same time, this was their third defeat without a goal conceded and no doubt that the club's management and coach are in all kind of worries after such a run.
Flamengo scored their only goal in 38th minute via Alves da Silva, while they also stood playing with a man less since 45th minute and that fact didn't help players of Coritiba not even to level up the result. They were slightly better in the repetition, but it was simply not enough in order to do something more positive. With a trend of negative results, Coritiba is now at 18th position with only three points earned (one victory) and six defeats so far. Three goals scored in seven matches is simply too little for a team that needs to get the salvation, while they have scored only once away from home in four games. Midfielder Thiago Galhardo (5/1) is suspended now, while defensive midfielder Alan Santos, left back Carlinhos (1/0) and defender Bonfim all remain sidelined due injuries. Right back Norberto returns from suspension and should be playing from the off.
Atletico PR is doing more than fine at home, while the visiting side looks like a team from the second league when playing away from home. All in all, everything points out to another easy home victory for Atletico and I believe their chances are well above 50% here.
