Aston Villa vs QPR by Shibby
Championship action for me in a game that will be played at Villa Park and will kick off at 19:45 UK time. The game will be played between Aston Villa and QPR. The home side head into the game in great form, they currently sit in 3rd in the table just 4 points behind Cardiff City and 7 points behind league leaders Wolves.
Villa under Steve Bruce have done really well and he seems to have brought a winning mentality to the club again. Villa are a huge club and should really be playing Premier League football. Villa have won 20 games from their 36 fixtures, along with 9 draws and just 7 losses.
Villa haven'r lost in their last 4 games, these 4 games consist of 3 wins and a draw. The draw was a 1-1 finish vs Preston. The 3 wins came against Sheffield Wednesday (4-2 away from home), 3-0 vs Sunderland (away from home) and then their last game was a 4-1 drubbing of league leaders and local rivals Wolves! 11 goals in 3 games is great and they seem to be scoring very freely against top sides too.
Striker Lewis Grabban seems to have found form since his his loan switch to Villa and I expect his to start the game vs QPR also. Villa have experience at the back along with quality midfield players and strikers in fine form. I think they will be tough to beat in the run in.
The visitors for the game are QPR. They currently sit in 16th in the table just 13 points above the drop zone. Manager Ian Holloway hasn't had a great season, however, with the budget he has I think they've done ok. I know QPR head into the game on the back of a 1-0 win vs Sunderland, however, Sunderland have been in terrible form and look certain to go down. QPR have lost their last 3 away games vs Bristol City, Wolves and Sheffield United.
I expect them to make things difficult for Villa, however, I don't think they will be able to keep them out especially at Villa Park. I'll be backing Villa at a price of 1.72 with Bet365. Good luck all.
