Antalyaspor vs Kasimpasa by Isaiah
Antalyaspor broke a run of six undefeated matches where they had five victories and just one draw with a defeat away to Bursaspor last weekend, when they suffered 2:1 loss, in a game where a draw would have been fair outcome as well. Still, it needs to be said that the players of Bursaspor were a bit more concrete during the match and did deserve the three pointer as well.
Hosts took the double lead thanks to goals from Kanatsizkus and Batalla in 20th and 32nd minute and even though Kadah managed to reduce the deficit in 41st minute, they didn't manage to return completely into the match, even though they did have decent chances in the second halftime. Antalyaspor did remain however in the middle of the table, having now nineteen points earned out of fifteen matches, having nine less than Europa League placed Fenerbahce and eight more than relegating worried Gaziantepspor.
Home team is set to play in 4-3-3 formation with Etame, Kadah and Eto'o as forwards. Defensive midfielder Charles (14/0) and Zeki Yildirim (14/1) are suspended for this match, while sidelined also remains goalkeeper Ferhat Kaplan (8/0) due injury, so Saso Fornezzi will step in between the posts. Jean Makoun will surely be defensive midfielder in this one.
Kasimpasa, on the other side, comes from a really important and morale boosting 2:1 victory over Besiktas at home last weekend. It was their second consecutive victory after previous victory over Rizespor week before, as the team completely surprised current champions, must be said a bit undeservedly but the goals are what counts during ninety minutes.
Players of Besiktas took the lead in 31st minute via Tosun and had more of the ball possession, actually controlling the ball and having more of the ball possession, but poor entrance in the second halftime simply cost them too much. Hosts managed to revert the scoreline in 47th minute with a goal from Torun and three minutes later with an own goal. Guests tried to respond later on and had many chances wasted during that time, but the scoreline didn't change.
Six points in last two rounds made the team climb up to thirteenth position at the table, having now seven points more than first relegating worried side Gaziantepspor. Away from home they have two victories and five defeats, surely knowing that a point here would however be a positive outcome for them.
Visitors of Kasimpasa will be playing in 4-3-3 formation as well, using Eduok and Torun on the wings, plus Koita as central striker, number nine. Offensive player/forward Adem Buyuk (12/4) is injured, as well as forward Franck Etoundi (4/0). Manager Kemaz Ozdes anyway isn't expected to change much after their victory against current champions from Besiktas.
- Antalyaspor have kept a clean sheet in 7 of their last 9 home matches (Super Lig).
- Antalyaspor are undefeated in their last 5 home matches against Kasimpasa.
Antalyaspor comes from a setback defeat to Bursaspor which broke their positive run, but I expect them to change the things here around. It would be too much for Kasimpasa to make another surprise here, Antalyaspor does have more of individual quality.
