Alanyaspor vs Besiktas by Isaiah
Alanyaspor had a very interesting game last weekend when the team visited Goztepe and managed to take a point in a 3:3 game. Even though they looked like a bit more concrete side overall, they had to be satisfied with a draw since the side scored two goals in last ten minutes of the clash.
In overall equal first halftime, hosts took the lead via Jahovic in 41st minute, while Karaca leveled up in 66th, but couple of poor minutes cost the players of Alanyaspor a lot, since they conceded two goals within two minutes, via Castro and Jahovic again, but managed to get a point thanks to late goals from Etame and Fernendes, deservedly must be said. The team is now at tenth position, having eleven points which is three more than relegating placed Genclerbirligi and need to continue with a positive momentum no matter which opponent they face up against.
Hosts should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Love as central striker, plus Fernandes, Akbaba and Karaca as offensive midfielders. Right back Reso Akin (no performance so far) remains long term absentee and coach Susic has fully fit squad to choose from.
Besiktas had quite difficult game last weekend as the side took just a point against Basaksehir at home, even though they looked like strong favorites before the clash. It simply wasn't their day, as the opponent created more chances and looked concrete in attack, especially in the second halftime, as they took the lead in 89th minute via Frei, but the hosts leveled up a bit lucky, in second minute of additional time via Tosic, without creating many dangerous situations in front of opponents' goal.
They now remain only at seventh position for the moment with four victories, three draws and two defeats, being two points behind second placed Goztepe but surely wanting to get back into the title race as first placed Galatasaray leads with eight points more than BJK, meaning that this is a must win game for them as for the Super Lig title hopes. They also await Champions League clash against Monaco next Wednesday evening and aren't awaiting an easy game here.
Guests are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation with Tosun as central striker, but also with Quaresma, Talisca and Lens as offensive midfielders. Goalkeeper Denys Boyko (no performance) remains injured but anyway isn't their first choice, while sidelined are also central back Atinc Nukan and midfielder Gokhan Tore, both without performing in the season too. Forward Ryan Babel (8/3) is still suspended, as well as left full back Caner Erkin (9/0).
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 23 of Alanyaspor's last 28 games (Super Lig).
Alanyaspor is doing very well in the new season, mostly thanks to their quality in attack, especially to Vagner Love. Besiktas remains a favorite, but I see them conceding here at least once. Guests are closer to obtain a victory, however with Champions League game on their minds and with four matches already in a row without a victory in SuperLig, my first choice will be both teams scoring and over goals, without away victory this time.
