Aalborg vs Midtjylland by Isaiah
Alborg had a very difficult previous game as the team visited Hobro before the international break two weeks ago, but managed to walk away with a narrow victory getting all three points thanks to a goal from Borsting in fourth minute.
Overall, hosts had their chances as well, maybe even more than the players of Aalborg, but the guests stood tight in the defensive lineup and made no mistakes till the end of the game keeping a clean sheet. The team now stands at eight position at the table getting first victory after previous defeat against Odense and a draw to Randers, being now three points behind play-off placed Copenhagen.
Home team continues to miss goalkeeper Michael Lansing and forward Marco Ramkilde who both didn't perform so far in the season, but also defender Jakob Ahlmann (14/1) and midfielder Magnus Christensen (8/1).
Midtjylland, on the other side, is in a really fine form at the moment, having eight victories in all competitions and just one draw game in last nine competitive games. Most recently, they managed to overpower Helsingor 2:1 at home, mostly thanks to their rock solid and determined performance in the first halftime.
They entered the game in a great way, scoring a goal already in seventh minute via Sorloth, while Dal Hende doubled up their lead in 43rd minute, with the visitors replying a little in second halftime and managing to reduce in 53rd minute via Mortensen, but that was all they did. After this victory, the side remained at second position of the table now having four points less than leaders from Brondby and are surely aiming a victory here in order to close the game to one point again.
Guests will be playing here without defenders Rasmus Nicolaisen (no performance so far) and Alexander Munksgaard (2/0). Doubtful are defender Rasmus Kristensen (13/2) and midfielder Rilwan Hassan (10/0).
- Midtjylland are undefeated in their last 7 league matches.
Aalborg is far away from a naive side, but this game should be too much for them. They are decent, no question about it, especially in front of own crowd, however they should give really something special here in order to stay competitive in the offense as they meet one of the strongest attacks in the league. At least in my eyes, value is with the visiting team.
