Valencia vs Real Madrid (By: Miyagi)
Bojan Dublevic, who always had good games against Real Madrid and his performances are catalytic for his team in those meetings, was not good in Game 1 (3-11 FG, 8 points), and so I was absolutely certain that he would bounce back in Game 2. I did back him, it was one of those ultra confident bets while I hadn't even looked at the offered line yet, which was at (the very low) 10.5 points. So, I placed a very big bet on him and I was committed to watch the game. Well, it took only 1 and a half quarters for him to score 11 points. What I noticed in that game was that Valencia had a strong start, they took an early lead and they seemed very solid and confident in the first half. I did not watch the second half but apparently, Valencia stayed in the locker room as they had a terrible second half while Dubljevic finished the game with a total of 12 points (??).
There is no option for players props in Bet365 or Pinnacle but there are many companies that offer lines and I consider Dubljevic's line at 10.5 (or even 11) as a great pick again. Apart from that, Valencia has been exceptional at home this season and I like them to have a strong start in their first home game of those series. Either way, its a 'win or go home' situation for them, while Real might be a bit more relaxed with their 2-0 lead.
Valencia has scored 39 or more points in the first half in 9 of their last 10 home games, while they have also scored at least 39 points in the first half in their last 4 meetings with Real at home but they usually have trouble down the stretch against them.
