Panathinaikos vs Prometheus (By: Miyagi)
Panathinaikos avoided the first round of the playoffs since Olympiacos was relegated (or not? nobody knows what's going on in the Greek league anymore). Anyway, Panathinaikos has played only 3 games (3-0 win over Peristeri in the Semifinals) which their last game 7 days ago! They had all the time in the world to rest and prepare ahead of this game and Pitino, as well as his players, are fully motivated to win the title and start their preparation and plan for the next season.
Prometheus took the win in Game 5 against AEK on the road, in what was a controversial game before it even began as AEK was supposed to play without fans due to a ban (their fans were throwing smoke bombs, etc. in game 2 vs Prometheus) but the supreme council reversed the ban literally overnight. Despite that, Prometheus played great in game 5 and a few mistakes in the final seconds which gave AEK the opportunity to tie the game and go to overtime did not cost them in the end.
All in all, Prometheus played great basketball and they far exceeded their expectations by reaching the finals. Yet, this is their 5th game in 10 days and they had less than 3 days to rest and prepare for this game and they face a much much stronger team this time, in a tough arena. Panathinaikos will win this game easily, no doubt about that, but just because of all the things Prometheus had to go through recently, I think Game 1 will be the tougher for them both physically and mentally and they will suffer a heavy loss by 25+ points.
