Aston Villa vs Derby County (By: Luke)

Aston Villa managed to progress to the big finals only thanks to a penalties series win over West Brom on the road.

They had a player more since the 80th minute of the second clash but didn't manage to exploit that fact during the overtime. However, must be said overall, that the Villans did deserve to pass through looking like much more stable team during these two games.

The Villans will miss injured goalkeeper Nyland (23/0). Central back Chester (28/5) probably won't be fully ready coming from a knee problem, while doubtful is central back Tuanzebe (27/0) for the moment but with chances to play.

Derby was almost overwritten after a home loss 0:1 to Leeds, but the side managed to impress everyone and fought back more than well in a 4:2 victory on the road.

They stood behind in the scoreline, but managed to level up just before the halftime whistle against the flow of the match and surprised them in a great manner at the start of the second with two goals within first thirteen minutes.

Derby should miss injured central defender Davies (5/0), left back Forsyth (13/0), with midfielder Bryson (28/3) being doubtful for now. Left-back Malone (29/2) is suspended for this match.

There are some certain stability and individual class difference with the Villans that I can not ignore here. Moreover, they seem to really know how to play against Derby winning both matches this season with a 7:0 aggregate result.

Of course, this clash will be completely different but if one of the teams is to prevail during the ninety minutes, that would be Aston Villa in my eyes. Overtime and penalties especially are more of a lottery thing for me.

I've got no idea, maybe you had some internet lag, but it's not unusual for the bookmakers to deliberately "postpone" the live stream/radio transmission. It's logical, to avoid giving punters any kind of possible extra advantage. It's so obvious with their live streams, whether it's football, tennis, NBA.

There is nothing unusual by a radio stream having a one-minut delay. If it was analogue it should not have much delay, but I seriously doubt it was.

Bookies are connected to a livefeed controlled by a person on each and every stadium, responsible for suspending the market immediately when something occurs. The delay is at tops 2-3 seconds. For you looking at the betting screen though it might be around 5-10 seconds. That does however not mean that the market is open. Bookies usually match live bets after 8 seconds, thus they have plenty of time for the 2-3 second reaction delay by the person suspending the market on at the stadium in question.

In other words to sum it up. No. You will never be able to match a bet where you see the outcome before the bookie.
