Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR (By: Shibby)
Championship action for me tomorrow in a game that will be played at Hillsborough, Sheffield. The game will be played between Sheffield Wednesday and QPR. The game will kick off at 12:30 UK time.
The home side haven't had the season they would have liked, however, a win tomorrow could see the Owls sneak into 9th in the table. With the squad they've got at Hillsborough I would have expected more from them. I think it makes it worse that rivals Sheffield United have secured automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Steve Bruce won't be judged by this season, he'll be judged next season when he's cleaned his squad up a little and brought some of his own players in. Wednesday haven't lost a game in their last 3 outings. They drew 2-2 away at Norwich and then beat Bristol City at home 2-0. Their last fixture was a 3-3 draw away at PNE. The Owls were 2-0 down in that game and down a man but they ended up nicking a point, this will have given them confidence and they will be wanting to end the season on a high with a win vs an average QPR side. Wednesday have won 10 games at home and look strong on their day.
The away team, QPR have been poor, they currently lie in 19th in the table just 8 points in-front of Rotherham. However, with the budget they have available many would expect them to be pushing for a top 10 finish at least. QPR head into the game on the back of 3 straight losses. They have been beaten at home twice vs Blackburn Rovers and Forest. They were also beaten away vs Derby. QPR have won just 4 games away from home this season out of 22 league games, they've managed 6 draws and 12 losses on the road.
I know none of these teams have anything to play for, however, I think Wednesday will want to end the season with a win. I've heard a rumour that Sheffield United fans have all paid a small amount to send an airplane over Hillsborough with a Sheffield United badge. This will really annoy the Wednesday fans and I think this will make them get behind the team.
I'll be backing a Sheffield Wednesday win at a price of 1.78 with Bet365. Good Luck all.
