Atletico Madrid vs Valencia (By: PlayMaker)

The most interesting game this midweek in my eyes where I will to put my money on a longshot.

The clash between two best defences of the La Liga (LL) this season so far, with only 21 and 28 goals conceded from each side. We can also expect a mind battle between two managers Simeone and Marcelino.

Valencia react perfectly after suddenly defeat against Rayo. They won both legs against Villareal in Europa League, and find two others victories in LL against Levante and Betis. The last visit in Seville show a little fatigue from Valencia in last 15 minutes, the result was the red card of Rodrigo but they still managed to keep the sheet not to vibrate the second time. Valencia also show a good patience in the 1st half before quickly score 2 goals from 45th to 49th minutes. I see this team very well organized under the coaching of Marcelino and expect that they can find a slot to UCL next year.

To do that, they have to get at least one or even three points in Madrid. Atletico had to accept that they are very far from the title, however they found something positive from a difficult victory last weekend against Eibar. The late goal from Lemar give them an official ticket to the UCL next year and now the team should be more comfortable. They will try to secure the 2nd place against huge rival Real Madrid.

This game is crucial for Valencia. If they can win here, the rest of schedule may be easier to find a place in top 4. Very risky but I think it's nice to try for the guests. Once again we need to emphasise that this team is very patient in defence and also furious in attack. Not a big surprise if they leave Wanda stadium with a win.
