Valladolid vs Girona (By: Robber)
It's 34th round in Spain which means only 5 games to go. While the champions are almost decided at the bottom the battle goes on. Valladollid is on the 18th place which is the last that still leads to Segunda. Although mathematically they still have chances, Vallecano and Huesca seem to be 2 teams that are going right back to second division. Valladolid, Levante, Girona, Celta and maybe still Villarreal are the teams of which one will be relegated. Girona is in bad form with 5 straight losses and only 2 points above Valladolid.
Home team is a little bit better in the form at the moment but are also winless in 5 matches although they managed to draw 3. Girona has a bad second part of the season but are surprisingly good on the road. They are 6th on the table if we consider matches on the road, with 4 wins 11 draws and 2 losses and goal difference 19:20. Tomorrow they are facing the second worst home team (only Girona is worse) and it's a match which can not be lost. A win for Girona would probably be the salvation as they are playing direct competiotion, while the pressure is still on Valladolid as they another failure could really slimmer their chances of playing in La liga.
Girona did present a solid performance against Celta last time out, if Aspas wouldn't be back for Celta they could probably get something out of that match. With Stuani in front against Valladolid I expect them to score at least once, while an entertaining and open match is expected from both sides as this is the match where both should get points. A draw is a very possible result but from the start I believe both will attack and we could see a couple of goals before half time. I am convinced that both teams will find the net and given the importance I leave some chances of ending with a 1:1 draw so instead of over 2.5 goals I am choosing BTTS:
