Cercle Brugge vs Kortrijk (By: Miyagi)

Jupiler League - Europa League Group B

The Winner of Group A will play in the final against the winner of Group B for a ticket to next season's EL.

*ST. Gilloise (leads Group B with 12 points) failed to gain a permit/license from UEFA.

Cercle Brugge's goal at the beginning of the season was to stay off relegation and they achieved that. They come from back to back wins in the league (3-2 vs Beveren, 2-3 vs Mouscron) which is a bit surprising since the last time they won a league game was more than 3 months ago.

Despite Cercle's form, they have quite a few issues to deal with today, as they very important ST Cardona (20/6) and AM Hazard (20/4) who were on loan spells returned to their clubs. DM Kone (24/0) MF Omolo (18/2) MF Traore (7/0) will miss this game also.

Kortrijk's goal is to reach the final and fight for the EL qualification this season. The come from a loss to St Gilloise (no license) at home, which though won't cost them, at least for now, but another bad result today will get them in trouble for the first place.

CD Hines-Ike(22/1) is out. No other important players missing this one for Kortrijk.

Kortrijk finished 8th in the regular season and they had the 4th best away record. Beveren finished 15th (out of 16 teams) and they had the worst home record in the league along with poor offensive and defensive records.

There is a quality difference between those teams and it gets even bigger since the hosts are missing two of their key players, who left the club. Kortrijk has what it takes to get the win today but they should avoid the loss at all costs, so backing them draw not bet seems like a great deal at those odds.
