West Ham vs Leicester (By: Luke)
West Ham put up a brave fight away to Manchester United last time out, but still suffered narrow 2:1 defeat conceding a goal from the penalty kick ten minutes before the full-time whistle.
Actually, both goals they scored came from the penalty spots, while we can say that the Hammers overall did very well and weren't outplayed in any of the aspects of the game, still, it was their third consecutive defeat in Premiership and are looking to bounce back here for sure.
After four consecutive wins and really decent performances, players of Leicester suffered a bit unexpected defeat in front of own fans against Newcastle narrowly 1:0.
They had a lot more of the ball possession, however, it simply wasn't their day as the ball movement didn't look fluid and there weren't enough real chances created. Similar to their opponents, they also surely want to revert the momentum but to chase the seventh spot on the table as well.
The hosts miss defensive Sanchez (5/0), midfielder Wilshere (5/0), offensive Yarmolenko (9/2), forward Carroll (12/0) all with a limited influence so far. Forward Arnautovic (24/7) is not fully fit with a couple of players being doubtful too. The Foxes continue to miss midfielder Amartey (9/0) for some time already and can field their strongest XI.
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Leicester's last 4 away games (Premier League).
Both teams go into this match having something to prove and actually both still having chances to exit to Europe. One way or another, I can't see this game being a defensive minded one - not even during the first halftime.
