Stoke City vs Reading (By: Joey)
Stoke City became the draw specialists in the division after a goalless with Derby County at Pride Park in the midweek action. This was the 16th draw of the campaign for the Potters.
Reading lost a three-game unbeaten sequence in the Championship thanks to a 3-0 defeat by Leeds United at the Madejski Stadium. This, however, was the first blow since the 4-0 defeat against Sheffield United in the middle of February.
The reverse fixture between the two clubs produced a 2-2 draw at the Madejski Stadium. Stoke City were able to claim a 2-1 victory when they last had a match against Reading at the Bet365 Stadium, although both teams were in the Premier League in this 2013 meeting. I expect a draw.
Stoke are unbeaten in six matches coming into the game but just one of those games have finished as a victory for the team. Nathan Jones and his men have been unable to look beyond stalemates and this is a major worry for the team. Reading Wilson is an opportunity to pick up a second consecutive away victory after beating Ipswich in the previous round. However, Reading have generally been mediocre when it comes to away matches with almost 50% of the games finishing as a draw or a defeat. My preview would go with a draw.
Reading have not been able to score a lot of goals on the road, but Stoke City have a much serious issue with the team only grabbing goals no one can even when playing at the Bet365 Stadium. The last six games for Stoke City have returned a miserly four goals. Reading are also not great when it comes to getting away goals. My correct score prediction would go with a 1-1 draw.
