Hamburger SV vs Sandhausen (By: Dajkula)
HSV welcomes Sandhausen in the 19`th round of the Bundesliga II and the first round after the break. Yesterday, their followers St.Pauli lost away so this is a good warning not to take this opponent lightly. It is also an opportunity to maybe enhance their difference at the top of the table. There are a few teams that can take the first two places and Hamburg definitely has the best chances. Their name doesn`t win matches but some teams certainly have weak legs while entering the match.
HSV is the leader with 37 points and 11-4-3 so far. Not all is great though as there has been some time since the leader had such weak scoring stats after 18 rounds. They scored only 25 goals so far while Koln scored even 22 goals more. HSV looks much better on the road while there has been, sometimes, big problems on the home ground. Here, they lost to Holstein Kiel 0:3 and Regensburg 0:5. Quite interesting. That happened way back in September and HSV hasn`t lost at home in the last 5 matches but taking 3 draws. It is good that that Sandhausen has problems with scoring goals.
Sandhausen is ranked 16`th with 13 points but they have the same number of points as the last placed Duisburg. With 2-7-9 and 18:27 gd they are also the second weakest scoring side in the league. There have been some changes for Duisburg at the break but not on the attacking side. The new defenders Diekmeier and Dieckmann will be added to the lineup shortly. Wooten and Scheusener are still responsible for goals and they are the only ones that do the scoring.
Sandhausen played their friendlies well and hasn`t lost in 4 but played 3 draws and scored little. Sandhausen hasn`t played well away from home and they have taken losses to Holstein Kiel, Dresden, St.Pauli, Bochum, and Furth. Against defenseless Paderborn, they have taken a draw but have lost to all the teams from the upper part of the table.
HSV will have some missings today as Jairo Samperio, Stephan Ambrosius, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, and Hee-chan Hwang are injured while the captain Aaron Hunt is rated a doubt. It is not ideal for sure. At least the first scorer Lasogga is back from injury.
Sandhausen is without the injured Nejmeddin Daghfous, Tim Kistern, Maximillian Jansen, and Alexander Rossipal.
HSV should win even though they are far from convincing at home.
