Jalisco vs Mazatlan (By: Mulder)

Makeup game for the rainout the other day.

I think this line is too high for a lot of reasons and here is why..

Casey Harman is starting for Venados de Mazatlan. The lefty had a 4-1 record in the regular season with a 3.40 ERA, 1.25 WHIP. With big stuff as well: 1.3 BB/9, 7.2 K/9. So big control and solid K-Power.

Harman had 3 strong outings this postseason. First he pitched 6.0 innings against Obregon. He allowed two runs on 4 hits> 1 BB, 4 K.

In his second outing against Obregon he was even better as he blanked Yaquis in 6.0 innings. He allowed just 3 hits and had 1 BB and 5 K.

And in his final outing he pitched against this very Charros team. He went 4 innings, allowed 2 runs with 2 BB and 2 K.

So a very good postseason for Harman indeed.

On the other side Will oliver on the mound for Charros de Jalisco. The Rightie had a 5-3 record in the regular season with a 3.39 ERA, 1.41 WHIP in 71.2 innings pitched. However, he deserved much better with a 2.4 BB/9, 6.0 K/9.

Plenty of action this postseason for Oliver as well.

In his first outing he allowed just one run in 6 strong innings against the Tomateros. He had 0 BB and 5 K.

Then he allowed 4 runs against Culiacan. However, just 3 runs were earned. He had 2 BB and 2 K.

And in his last outing he was lights out against this very Mazatlan team. He blanked the Venados and allowed just 3 hits with 1 BB and 3 K.

So two pitchers that were very good this postseason who both pitched well against todays opponent. Also an all ot nothing game for Mazatlan so i think this first half under is more than a playable line.
