Betis vs Real Madrid

A really good run of Betis got interrupted in LaLiga when the team got defeated away to Huesca with a 2:1 result. They were the only ones to be blamed, since the guests failed to convert their giant ball possession into anything concrete. The side is now five points behind Champions League placed Alaves sitting on the sixth position.

Real Madrid comes from a really worrying performance at home against Sociedad as the team suffered 0:2 defeat. Their ball possession and chances created didn't count much, against the guests who were the ones to make it count. The team is now just a point behind fourth Champions League placed Alaves.

Central defender Sidnei (13/1) is injured for the hosts, with offensive midfielder Inui (8/0) being on Asian Cup. Midfielder Vazquez (16/1) is suspended for the guests, while they miss injured goalkeeper Courtois (16/0), defensive midfielder Llorente (4/0), midfielder Kroos (14/0) and forward Bale (15/4).

  • Betis have seen over 2.5 goals in 12 of their last 15 matches against Real Madrid.
  • Real Madrid is surely aiming a victory with all the possible effort, while Betis will be trying to get back on positive ways. No doubt that the visiting side will try to attack, while they remain way too vulnerable at the back. Goals look like granted in such circumstances.

Hmmmm. Looking at this depleted Madrid squad, am wondering why it still seems difficult for me to pick Betis to win.

Analytically, Betis to score first goal: Betis to win: over 2.5 all these three are better option in my view than Madrid win.

NB: A wounded lion(Madrid) can still bite to kill when given the chance.
