Barcelona vs Panathinaikos

Euroleague

Round 18

Barcelona Lassa - Panathinaikos Athens

Panata's executives and new coach Rick Pitino just signed an excellent player in Sen Kilpatrick. The american guard will surely improve the Greek team's quality, but he won't play yet today.

Despite showing signs of improvement since Pitino took the helm, Panathinaikos is still a 1-8 road team. And that doesn't sound encouraging when visiting Catalunya. Not now.

If the Greens were coming few weeks ago, when Barca had a 4 games losing streak, it would be more lucky for them.

Now the Spanish team is riding a 4 games winning streak, looking rejuvenated. That's mostly based on two key factors: 1. Pau Ribas and Adam Hanga, which were dealing with injuries, are now both healthy and playing solid and 2. a excellent bench contribution (47 points two days ago, in Milan).

Pesic's team looks like they found their groove and I'm looking for them taking care of business in this home matchup and staying just one game away from the top4.

Let's go green!
