Nancy vs Paris FC (By: Alcuni)
Nancy – Paris FC
Nancy continued in same manner as per last season. Most of the time in the bottom of the table, many rounds as rock bottom Nancy is hopping to recover from the lost land in first 19 rounds and to finish up to the play-out spot. They were in similar situation last season when saved from relegation with few rounds before the end of the season. This evolution is quite surprisingly keeping in mind that on the paper they have a decent team (at least mid-table one). They started the season with same coach as saved them from relegation last year but this wasn’t their best option. Of course, Tholot was fired after this season being appointed Perrin who was Tholot assistant. So not big changes. But fairly, in the second part of the first part of the season, Nancy made some good games playing a good football comparing with their situation in table; but not so much luck for them. They finished the year with a series of 4 unbeaten games, taking 2 wins and 2 draws plus other 3 wins in cups vs lower ranked teams. So, there is a lot of potential I guess to avoid once again relegation. Koura left to Lausanne while the new signing is striker Vagner Dias from St. Ettienne, called up for this game But as used lately coach Perrin made some rotation in the squad so did again so no Diagne, N’Guessan, DaCruz,Robic, Sane, Bassouamina and Dale for this game..
Paris FC proved to be same tough team, a team who is trying to win home games and to bring, most of the time, one point from the away games. So far so good as they are unbeaten on their own pitch, taking 6 wins and drew 3 times, while on the road drew 5 time being once again the “draw reign”. Weren’t too many changes compared with previous season hence stability in the club. A new coach but who didn’t have positive results in trying to change this approach. They are on 4th spot but could have finish on 3rd in avoiding 96 mins goal in last game versus 10-men rock bottom Red Star. Lebon quite the team for an adventure at Utrecht, also N’Guessan returned to Lille couple of days before. Mandouki will miss for personal reasons.
Maybe remember the game played here in 2016 when Paris FC lost in strange circumstances. Since then Paris FC beat Nancy 3 times proving no mercy about their situation. Despite losing N’Guessan Paris FC will be a strong team for this year too. And against their “friends” Perhaps will give 120% in order to beat them. They are the better team overall and I see them prevail in this game. Back Paris FC. gl
