Blackpool vs Arsenal (By: Luke)

Blackpool entered the poor form in recent weeks, as they come from a narrow 0:1 defeat at home against Sunderland. It was their fifth game in League One without a victory. They are now only at the ninth position with ten points less than play-off placed Doncaster.

After two games with no win, a draw away to Brighton and a heavy defeat away to Liverpool, the Gunners bounced back to positive ways with a 4:1 victory over struggling Fulham. Still, they are off from the Champions League leading tickets positions, for now, being three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

The home side can't count at midfielder Thompson (21/3) who is suspended. Injured are forward Cullen (12/3) and a couple of really long-term ones. The Gunners are missing central back Holding (10/0), offensive midfielders Mkhitaryan (14/4), Welbeck (8/1) with a few guys doubtful as well.

  • Blackpool has seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Arsenal.
  • No doubt that Arsenal is a favorite here, even if the Gunners rotate the squad a lot which isn't very likely since they need a morale boost. However, it shouldn't be completely easy against the hosts who have absolutely nothing to lose.

Blackpool hardly scores in their league, they will only score if Arsenal lets them.
