Portimonense vs Benfica (By: Clinch)

Happy New year everyone, I wish you luck in betting and in life in general!

Here I am again on Portuguese league. Last year I placed a bet in a Portimoinense - Setubal game and I even guessed the right result. Since Sporting slipped up in the last round against Guimares it seems there are no surprises this season in Portugal, again Porto and Benfica fighting for the title while Sporting and Braga going for the 3rd spot. Portimoinense is simply a team that does go forward even against top sides with most of these games ending with BTTS&Over2.5 so I don’t find any reason why it wouldn’t happen again. True Benfica doesn’t let too many goals and chances to their opponents but I doubt it will work out like that against offensive side like Portimoinense at their pitch. Portimoinense played 3:1 against Setubal, while Benfica won at Setubal with simple 0:1…in that game both teams had pretty same statistics in terms of possession and shot attempts. Still I believe Benfica is better than Setubal both defensively and offensively. Portimoinense played 4:1 at Porto, won 4:2 against Sporting and won 3:2 against Guimares, so goals come from both sides in these games involving home team against top sides. Portimoinense scored in last 4 games while Benfica conceded a goal in last two games, in the last season we could have also seen this bet going through in both rounds and I doubt that much changed in terms of playing philosophy and their rosters. Only important missing for Portimoinense is their Japan NT striker who is on international duties but I believe they still have enough power upfront. As I said Benfica is better on both departments than Setubal so I could see 1:2 result in this game.
