Newcastle vs Man. United

Newcastle was set as quite an underdog last Saturday afternoon, but the side managed to take a point in a 1:1 game away to Watford. Their hosts dominated the game completely but stood behind in the scoreline pretty early and Newcastle was defending decently for the most of the clash.

Manchester United comes from another impressive performance as the side won over Bournemouth 4:1 last Sunday afternoon. Pogba was excellent once again with two goals and an assist while the side looks completely different now. They are eight points behind Champions League placed Chelsea and need a continuation of good form badly.

The hosts miss injured central back Clark (10/2), while doubtful are midfielder Shelvey and central back Fernandez (15/0). Defensive midfielder Sung-yueng (11/0) is away with international duty. Guests are missing defender Bailey (8/0) who is suspended. Injured are central backs Smalling (13/1), Rojo (2/0) and midfielder McTominay (6/0).

  • Man Utd are undefeated in 29 of their last 32 matches against Newcastle.
  • Manchester United have completely reverted their atmosphere and level of play after the appointment of Solskjaer. They should be able to use the momentum once again, in style this time too.
