Regensburg vs Koln
Regensburg comes from another draw, this time away from home against Aue last Friday evening in a 1:1 game. Goals were scored very early, while the hosts remained bit better in second but generally trying to risk as little as possible. This was the tenth consecutive game without defeat for then (also having one win in last seven), as they stand at tenth position safely compared to the red zone.
Koln bounced back well with three wins after their defeat away to Hamburger SV, scoring fifteen goals in last three rounds. Most recently, they won easily at home against Gr Furth 4:0, showing the desire and potential to bounce back directly to the Bundesliga. They now have a point less than leaders surely wanting to win here too and establish themselves as huge promotion favorites.
The hosts are missing central back Nachreiner (no performance so far), Volkmer (1/0), left back Fohrenbach (11/0) and offensive Derstroff (2/0). Central back Sobiech (8/0) is injured, same as left back/defensive midfielder Hector (12/3), left back Horn (13/0) and offensive Clemens (8/2) for Koln.
Regensburg didn't disappoint so far, but I neither see them too competitive against Koln. Visitors need to win and I believe they will make it easy or difficult since their defensive lineup has that stability comparing to their hosts. The run of the home team has been going for simply too long.
