Sassuolo vs Udinese

Sassuolo broke their undefeated streak of four matches with a defeat away to Parma 2:1. They entered the game very poorly and were two goals back in the scoreline already after twenty-five minutes, while Sassuolo actually left better impression overall, especially in the second halftime but the equalizer never came. They are now just a point behind Europa League placed Parma.

After seven matches with no win, players of Udinese managed to surprise Roma at home last Saturday afternoon with a 1:0 result. It needs to be said that they did get rewarded for their fighting spirit which wasn't questionable, however also that Roma have shown much more and surely were feeling incredibly unlucky after such outcome. The side stands just a point above the relegation zone now.

Hosts continue to miss midfielder Adjapong (3/1) and offensive Boateng (11/4). The guests miss left-back Samir (13/0), central back Wague (2/0) and forward Teodorczyk (8/0). Midfielder Balic (2/0) is doubtful.

  • Udinese have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 away matches (Serie A).
  • There's no doubt that Sassuolo will be looking for all three points here and knowing their offensive quality, I believe they will be able to take advantage. Udinese shouldn't be having the quality to respond to the opponents in the attack, while neither their defensive line stands that rock solid.

Total Home Goals: Over 1,5 @ 2.03 seems safer to me than a 1-0 win though both can still fail.
