Texas vs Oklahoma (By: Khum)

The Big 12 Championship Game

Texas Longhorns - Oklahoma Sooners

This game is history: the Big 12 Championship has been played 17 times now, and either the Longhorns or Sooners have been in 15 of them including the last 14.

Of course these two are the ones to win the most of the Big 12 Chmpionship Games: Oklahoma took it 11 times (including the past 3) while Texas won it 3 times.

This will be the second time since 2010 that the conference champion will be determined in a championship game and the first time since 1903 that the two teams will play twice in the same season and the first time since 1929 that the game between the two is not played in the Cotton Bowl.

These season texas won against Oklahoma in a tight game, by 48 - 47.

It will be very interestng to see if Oklahoma's better defense is favoured for good resons against the Texas's speed, and Kyler Murray will have a better impact that Keontay Ingram.

My take is that the real factor to takein account when betting on this game is Tom Herman. The Longhons' coach is a legend when it comes to enter a game as underdog. A real legend. He went 5-0 at Houston when his teams were dogs, and his Texas team rocked USC last season to get to 6-0 outright as the underdog before losing to Oklahoma. As stated, he’s becoming legendary between the bettors when he isn’t favored going 12-1 against the spread and 9-4 straight up.

So for a smaller stake you can have excellent odds as 3.54 for a straight up win and for bigger confidence you have the Texas +8 @ 1.934 and ... let's go green!

Thank you for the advice :)

Nights like this come here and there.
I still like the picks I've made.
I didn't anticipate the early blowout in Philly that cooled down a Embiid that has been started as expected.

And no matter how much I'll concentrate it's unlikely for me to anticipate that deep sleep of the Pels in the first quarter, when they were already led by 20 points.

The only spot where I could decide differently was at the Portland game, and I did, when I found out that Garry Garrus was about to play. He went in, speeded up the game and scored 27 points. And with a big lead at half time the Nuggets stepped down defensively in the 2nd half. End of story!
Yet this is a spot hard to control with picks that have to be posted at least 3 hours before the game starts ... while for the NBA it's oftenly decisive to wait till the last hour for the player news.

Better days are coming, for sure.
Thanks again and best of luck!
