Go Ahead Eagles vs Dordrecht

Netherlands Jupiler League

Go Ahead Eagles (2) vs Dordrecht (19)

Go Ahead Eagles are the highest scoring team in the league with total record of 8-2-2 and 26-11 in goal difference. They are very solid in front of their fans with home record of 5-1-0. They are coming from a disappointing performance though, losing 2-1 away vs Telstar (13) and at the same time dropping down to 2nd place after Sparta Rotterdam (1) winning. Expect the hosts to control this match and put the guests under pressure.

Dordrecht are coming from another loss, 1-2 at home vs Volendam (14). Total record is 1-3-8 with 13-24 in goal difference, and they have one of the weakest defences in the league overall. 6 away matches is played, with record of 0-1-5 and conceding 14 goals in those matches. Expect the guests to go into this match with defending and frustrating the hosts as their main plan.

* 5 of 6 Go Ahead Eagles home victories ended under 3.5 goals total

* 4 of 6 Dordrecht away losses finished with under 3.5 goals total

Go Ahead Eagles had a frustrating match last time out vs Telstar (13), and I expect them to bounce back and win this match comfortably. Promotion rivals Sparta Rotterdam (1) will probably win their match vs Jong Utrecht (20) easy, so 3 points is for sure important for the hosts here. Dordrecht can’t have much confidence at the moment, but they wont give the hosts anything for free here. Overall the hosts should be better, they should have the quality to take the win & control this match. So the odds we get on backing them to win in a match with max 3 goals total is fair for me, I give it a shot!

I See you put the stats that most wins and losses are coming under 3.5 goals, but you also say Eagles highest scoring, coming off a bad result and playing team with shocking defence, it sounds like this is a likely game to break the trend and go over? Not that I'm an expert on Dutch football, but might hte handicap or over 2.5 or something be a better option to pair the win with?
