AC Ajaccio vs GFC Ajaccio (By: Alcuni)

AC Ajaccio - GFC Ajaccio

After a disastrous start of the season, AC Ajaccio seems to recover a bit the shape having a single defeat in last 6 games (surprisingly on the road at 2nd rock bottom Red Star). They took 9 points in the process and climbed a bit in table until 13th spot. They started to play more offensive scoring 8 goals in last 4 games. Also true is they concede a lot lately: 7 goals. Perhaps they will continue in same manner keeping in mind they collected most of the points playing like that. As a negative aspect they seem to lost their concentration when are in lead – happening in last 2 games when from 3-0 vs LeHavre barely won 3-2 and also versus Chateauroux when had a 2-1 lead but ended 2-2. So this is one aspect in order to be solved as soon as possible.

GFC Ajaccio changed the coach but not changed the luck. With offensive minded coach Della Maggiore, they scored none in first 2 goals under his command. They were defeated 0-5 by Metz and at home 0-1 by Beziers. If versus Metz they had some excuses (5 starters being suspended) versus Beziers not too many ones. They heavily dominated, putting a lot of pressure on Beziers defense, but weren’t able to convert at least one of the many chances they’ve created. Moreover was Beziers the one who scored the single goal of the game of course on a counter. They are now 0w1d5l in last 6 games scoring only 2 goals and conceding 14. But I’m sure they will start to deliver soon taking in consideration they have a competitive team with interesting offensive players.

Perhaps an open game with goals in it. Back Over 2.5 gl
